Shipping & Returns

Returns & Exchange Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase and wear our products everywhere. For this reason we offer a number of options including like for like exchange:

  • Bought something in the incorrect size? Send it back within 14 calendar days from date of purchase within Australia and 21 calendar days if located outside of Australia and we will send you a replacement free of charge. You are responsible for getting the garment back to us and we will cover the postage of the replacement. 
  • Bought something in the wrong colour? Colour doesn’t suit your skin tone? No worries. We will swap the garment for the same print but in a different colour in the same size. Send it back within 14 calendar days from date of purchase within Australia and 21 calendar days if located outside of Australia and we will send you a replacement free of charge. You are responsible for getting the garment back to us and we will cover the postage of the replacement.

All garments must be in their original condition, unworn with the tags attached, in new and saleable condition. Your replacement item/s will be sent once the original item/s are received and processed.

In the unlikely event that you are sent the incorrect item due to our error, eg: the order does not match the items provided, we will replace the item for you and cover the postage costs both ways - for you to send the item back to us and for us to send the replacement. We will arrange our courier to pick up the item from you and deliver a replacement once the original item is returned and processed.

Proof of postage

We strongly recommend you get proof of postage (it's free!). If you leverage Sendle to return your parcels to us, we will be notified and your delivery will be visible in our dashboard speeding up the exchange process.


Keep it clean

Some items can’t be returned, like swimwear where a hygiene strip or seal has been removed. Please check product descriptions before you order. If you want to return swimwear or any items marked with a '+' next to the product name, please do not remove the original wrapping/seal for hygiene reasons.

Original condition

Of course, it’s fine to try an item on like you would in a shop, but please don’t actually wear it. If an item is returned to us damaged, worn or in an unsuitable condition, we won’t be able to give you a refund and we may have to send it back to you (and ask you to cover the delivery costs). All items are inspected on return. All returned items should be sent in their original condition and packaging where possible, including tags.


Fair use

If we notice an unusual pattern of returns activity that doesn’t sit right: e.g. we suspect someone is actually wearing their purchases and then returning them or ordering and returning a lot – way more than even the most loyal Junk Republic customer would order – then we might have to deactivate the account and any associated accounts. If this happens to you and you think we’ve made a mistake, please get in touch with our Customer Delight Team and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.

Faulty Goods

Our goods may come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You also may be entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

 

If you think that there is a fault with the goods you have received, please let us know straight away by contacting our Customer Delight Team. Please include as many details as possible about the order and the problem with the goods.

To get our awesome products to you we have partnered with NoIssue and Sendle.

In addition to sustainable packaging, it is important to carbon offset your delivery. We have partnered with Sendle, Australia’s first 100% carbon neutral parcel delivery company helping small businesses like ours deliver packages around the globe. Standard shipping

Orders placed before 6pm AEDT will be processed the same day and shipped the following business day. In the event that we are on holiday and your order cannot be processed the same day, our team will advise you.

Express shipping

We do not offer same day shipping at this time. 

Shipping within Australia

  • Sydney Metro 1-3 business days.
  • All other areas 3-4 business days.
  • Free Australian shipping. 

International shipping

Standard international shipping charges apply in accordance with your location and the size of your order. Estimated charges are between $15 AUD - $50 AUD.

  • Free international shipping for orders over $250 AUD. 
  • Flat shipping rate of $20 per order to the UK
  • We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note however, there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.


When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next half kilogram.
